Purpose of the Post
|
To identify fundraising opportunities to maximise fundraising activity and income and overall raise the profile of ARC. Working with the Fundraising Manager, the Community Fundraising Specialist, will have responsibility for growing income from ARC’s events and community fundraising, while building relationships with our fundraisers.

Roles and Responsibilities
|
- Project lead on delivery of a number of annual calendars of supporter-led and ARC-led events and campaigns, providing project management, logistical and administrative support;
- Proactively lead on the management and development of ARC’s community fundraising programme:
- to ensure a more robust community structure;
- increasing revenue from this channel, with assistance from the Fundraising Manager; whilst providing consistent, warm support and donor care for ARC’s community fundraisers;
- to identify/explore the possibility of a new community campaign for ARC;
- to identify community fundraisers to feature across socials/website etc to ensure their visibility
- Introduce a community newsletter into services communications
- Work closely with Head of Fundraising & Communications and Fundraising Manager to develop healthy pipeline of new corporate prospects for ARC, be our LinkedIn Sales Navigator and manage a portfolio of corporate accounts, working to an agreed income target on an annual basis
- Build connections/deepen support – Utilise existing ARC network and own network to maximise potential fundraising activities, whilst deepening supporter relationships for supporter retention to increase repeat support;
- Lead on the management of all fundraisers through digital platforms, developing excellent donor communications and providing support to ensure fundraising and relationship success;
- Account manager for above mentioned digital platforms, driving strategic initiatives to derive maximum value from what they can offer;
- Use of exceptional stewardship skills to guide, support and retain fundraisers and supporters by demonstrating in-depth knowledge and understanding of the supporter/donor journey;
- Continue to be the first port of call for all fundraising enquiries, ensuring all fundraisers are responded to efficiently and with excellent donor care and also now lead liaison for a new charity partnership;
- Identify opportunities to design, test and implement new events and campaigns;
- Strong ability to navigate CRM systems, using the fundraising database to record and track all supporter information, extracting and segmenting data as needed to identify trends, improve donor communications, and guide decision-making. Experience of Salesforce an advantage but not essential;
- Strategically drive ARC’s direction in areas such as social media management and provide input into creation of new and evolved marketing collateral for fundraising purposes;
- Budget and invoice processing management – have responsibility for budget spend for certain key ARC events, produce documentation for sign off on a monthly basis for Head of Fundraising & Communications to sign off on.
- Lead on creation and delivery of impact reporting for community events, corporate and grants donors and grant-giving entities. It is critical that ARC gets better at measuring and reporting on this to ensure:
- A deeper understanding of the impact funds have on our clients for reporting purposes;
- Donors gain an in-depth understanding of the impact funds received have on our beneficiaries, helping to improve retention and sustainability of funding.
- Undertake relevant work delegated by the Management Team and any other tasks delegated by the line manager.

Qualifications and Experience
- Experience in a similar fundraising role is a significant advantage. However, all levels of education and experience will be considered.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with proven experience building relationships with supporters and a passion for making donors feel valued, engaged, and connected.
- Excellent planning and organisational skills with proven ability to manage multiple projects, prioritise time and resources and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic working environment.
- Full clean driver license and access to car desirable.
- Fluency in written and spoken English essential.

- Excellent administration and IT skills, with strong proficiency in Microsoft office tools and experience in database management.
- Knowledge of the fundraising database, Salesforce and advantage but not essential.
