Company information and introduction:

At ARC our mission is to provide psychological, emotional, practical and educational support to people with cancer and those who care for them, through a warm, welcoming and client centred approach and to ensure that everyone in Ireland is aware of, and able to access these services.

We have three Cancer Support Centres across Dublin. Our Centres are a haven from the outside world, offering support, free-of-charge, to men, women and children affected by cancer and those who care for them. We offer a range of supports including information service by phone, e-mail and drop in, counselling, complementary therapies, survivorship courses, support groups, wellness classes and talks.

We are currently recruiting for a full-time permanent Client Services Coordinator in our Centre in Lowell House, Herbert Avenue. This is our newest Cancer Support Centre so we are seeking a dynamic person who wants to work with Centre Manager and ARC team in growing our centre.

Contract: Permanent, Full Time

Salary: €32,655

Hours: The standard working week is Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm with one late day per week (11am to 7am or 12pm to 8pm) to facilitate evening appointments and groups.

Key Responsibilities and Duties:

Front of House Support

- Support volunteers of ARC Centre Drop In in the centre, providing cover when necessary

- With other Client Service Coordinators, manage and participant in ARC Information and Support phone and e-mail system

- Working with ARC clients to complete ARC Intake process

- Match client support needs to the most appropriate ARC support.

Supporting Centre Managers to coordinate services.

- Work with Centre Manager to optimise and maintain both current and new services, courses and programmes based on client needs and requests.

- Ensuring centre and its rooms are maintained to a high standard and ready to be used.

- Support with remote group class facilitation.

- Escalate any identified risks to your line manager or any available manager if Centre Manager not available.

- Engage in Support and Supervision with Line Manager on a regular basis.

External and internal communications

- Liaise and work with other ARC teams and team members across the organisation.

- Liaise with Volunteers, Therapists and Clients.

- Engage with and maintain good working relationships with ARCs external partners e.g. Oncology teams, other Cancer Support organisations, G.P’s etc.

Administration

- Maintain ARC CRM database and ensure good file hygiene on client files in line with ARC’s Data Policy.

- Carry out ad hoc duties as requested by the line manager and/or other managers as requested.

- Work to ARC policies, procedures, protocols, and guidelines and keep up to date on same when alerted to changes.

Key Skills and Competencies:

Essential

- 3rd level qualification in a relevant discipline (social care, psychology, community development etc.) and

- A minimum of 2 years’ experience (paid, voluntary or placement)

OR

- Over 5 years’ experience in similar area

Desirable

- Background and/or experience in a charitable organisation

Essential Skills

- Case management skills – can manage and track a caseload of clients through ARC supports in a CRM system.

- Strong communication skills – can engage with people in a caring and professional manner and can provide to a high standard both written and oral reports.

- Excellent technical skills e.g. MSO365 and Salesforce/other CRM (training will be provided for ARC systems)
