Companionship Service

  • ARC Cancer Support Services  offer a virtual cup of tea and friendly chat with an ARC volunteer. The cuppa campaign provides peer to peer support for anyone affected by cancer to have a regular supportive chat with an ARC volunteer by phone.

  • Alone Support & Befriending service provides companionship to older people who would like extra social contact through a weekly volunteer visit or telephone call.

  • Aware provides a support Line service is a free service and is available to anyone, aged 18 years and over, who is seeking support and information about issues relating to their own mood or the mood of a friend or family member, or who experiences depression or bipolar disorder.

  • Age & Opportunity look at the desires of older people to help match them up with a suitable activity and help meet new people.

  • Friends of the Elderly  can provide companionship to members who feel lonely and socially isolated in their homes or in healthcare facilities.

  • Samaritans can provide a listening ear with no judgement and help you work though what is on your mind.
